For the past 85 years, the Modesto Garden Club has been an important link to the beautification of our city. We became the largest club in the State of California on November 12, 1996. Our current membership stands at 535. We are members of National Garden Clubs, Inc.; Pacific Region; California Garden Clubs, Inc.; and Valley Lode District. The Club flower is the ROSE.

CIVIC PROJECTS

We need volunteers to help with the Virginia Corridor Rose Pruning,

Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 9 am.  Meet on Orangeburg Ave.

across the street from Roosevelt Jr. High. Coffee & Donuts will be available. 

Volunteers from the Modesto Garden Club plant and maintain flower beds at the Senior Center at Scenic and Bodem, Flower Clock at  Modesto's Centre Plaza, Rose garden on the Virginia Corridor at Orangeburg, Victims' Garden in front  of the Court House, Modesto Arch on Briggsmore at Sisk, Five Corners at McHenry and J Street and approximately 400 flower pots and 170 hanging baskets in the downtown area.
